So Gracie doesn't have much hair and I have been trying to find new ways to do some "hairdos" for her. So I made a new bow for her out of a zip lock baggie and some ribbon. It's a pretty bow, but hard to see in the pic because it's a bit shiny. Oh well, her face is the best part anyways.

There's a new bow in town!

They love being together
I am treasuring these sweet moment with the kids. They love to hang out with each other. Everytime Big G is with Little G he says, "Take my picture mommy!" He loves his little sister and Little G loves to be with him. She watches his every move and laughs her head off at him. It's sweet to witness times like these. Truly gifts from God!

I'm A Big Girl Now!
Winter Weekend fun
Last Friday I got the shovel out and made a ramp off our back deck for some backyard sledding and boy was it fun. After being outside for a few minutes I had the neighbors watchin' me and slowly the neighborhood gang started pouring outside for some wintertime fun. I think it was a welcomed break for moms and dads. The kids have been on winter break and the weather has pretty much trapped the kids inside, so a little sledding was just what the doctor ordered for the morning. On Saturday we headed into Chicago for some after Christmas cheer. We watched the skaters in the park, toured the Macy's windows, browsed FAO Schwartz, stopped by Daily Square to see the big Christmas tree and ended our day with a slice of Chicago's deep pan pizza. The kids had so much fun and so did we. It was a wonderful weekend to get out and enjoy the sights and sounds of the winter season.

Happy 2008 !
Happy 2008?! Can it be? We had a fun time ushering in the New Year last night with some friends from church. We got a babysitter for the kids and headed over to our neighbors house for some appetizers, a fun game of Family Feud (Hotties vs the Studmuffins). The studmuffins won overall, but the one category that was a fun one was, "What happens when you die?" and the survey says, "Heaven over Hell!" Pretty fun stuff, we had a lot of fun. We then sat down for a late night steak dinner and ended the night ringin' in the new year in front of the TV with the 30 second count down from Chicago. All the while it was snowin' like crazy outside and the thought of getting up to shovel the white stuff didn't sound too fun to C. But a New Years gift was given to us by our neighbor John Ryan when he finished up his driveway and I looked out the window to see him doing ours. What a gift. C and G joined him for the final details and I snapped a picture from the garage in my robe. I was lookin' good (NOT!) No pics of me though... YAH! It is a winter wonderland today and we are safe inside next to the fireplace. We love you and wish you all a very blessed and Happy New Year.
